“I have just realised left something in my room -what is your lost property procedure?”

>Our lost property office is open from 10am to 6pm Sunday to Friday for enquiries. It is closed on Saturdays. If you feel you may have left an item in the hotel, please call the hotel direct between these hours stating where you feel you left the item, and a full description of the item or E mail. Click here for further contact details.

If the item is found and confirmed, you may collect during the lost property opening hours of 10am to 6pm Sunday to Friday, Closed Saturday. Alternatively we can post it to you for a minimum charge of £5 if requested. ALL Lost Property will be given to Charity after a period of 30 days (one month) if unclaimed. Due to the very large volume of lost property, unfortunately we cannot keep it on the premises longer than this.


“I have booked on a ‘Pay Now & Save’ offer, what does this mean?”

> Our Pay Now & Save or ‘Advance Purchase’(APR)  rates offer a great incentive to our guests by way of a discount of 15% off the standard tariff.

However the terms and conditions for these booking are different to our standard terms. It is strongly recommended that guests make themselves fully aware of these terms BEFORE they book an APR rate.

Any booking made on Pay Now and Save offer are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-amendable in all circumstances. These terms are automatically accepted by the booker at the time the reservation is made.

We do strongly advise that our guests take out their own external travel insurance in case of any situations where a cancellation becomes necessary as the hotel cannot under any circumstance offer flexibility on such bookings.


“What are your terms for groups?”

> In the interests of a good night’s sleep and to ensure all our guests enjoy the Hotel experience, the majority of group booking  will be asked to sign a bond with a £100 per person hold on credit/debit card funds to ensure revelry is proportionate to the guest experience. This bond will not be taken off your card should there be no unreasonable issues, it will only be held in the event of disruption to other hotel guests.


“What is the earliest/latest time we can check in?”

> Our reception is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. An early check in can be arranged upon request (subject to availability). We guarantee that our guest’s rooms will be ready from 2:30pm onwards and we ask our guests vacate their room(s) before 11:00am.


“Do your rooms have fridges?”

> The Suncliff Hotel does not supply fridges in the rooms. Unfortunately, we cannot allow any food to be refrigerated or stored on our guests’ behalf because of health and safety concerns. We can store/refrigerate medication however.


“Do your rooms have DVD players?”

>Unfortunately, we do not have the facility to lend DVD players. The majority of our TVs can take them if guests wish to bring their own however.  


“We have been given a quote online. Can you match this if we call you direct?

> We guarantee the best available rate, should you find a better deal elsewhere, we’ll happily match it for you (please note, other terms and conditions may apply).


“Are you close to the town centre and beaches?

> We are located on prestige East Overcliff Drive, just a 10-15 minute stroll to the town centre. The beach is also just a few minutes away, click here to see a map


“Do you have any disabled rooms?”

> Although none of our rooms are disabled friendly, we do have a lift can take you to all floors and access ramp for the front step is available if required.

“Do all of your rooms have free Wi-Fi?”

> We do offer complimentary Wi-Fi. This is supplied by EE Hotspot and is available throughout the majority of bedrooms and public lounges

Please Note: This service is not part of the room tariff and is provided over and above the room cost as an extra service to our valued guests and therefore the hotel cannot be held responsible should a technical fault arise


“What time does the swimming pool open?

> Our leisure facilities opening times are from 8:00am to 9:00pm


“Can we bring our dog?

> Yes, small, well behaved dogs are accepted for a supplement of £10.00 per night

Please Note: No dogs are allowed in any public areas and a pet bond is required to be read and signed on arrival.


“Do you have entertainment?

> Yes, the Suncliff and Cliffeside hotels provide varied entertainment most nights

“What are your dinner times?

> Our evening meals are served from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. We also serve Hot bar snacks, these are available between 5:30pm and 9:00pm.

“Do you have on site parking? Can we reserve a space?

> Parking is complementary in all of our hotels on a first come-first serve basis. Supplemental parking is available in our associate hotels free of charge and further metered street parking on East Overcliff drive is free overnight

“If we bring our bicycle, would we be able to store it at the hotel?

> A bike rack is available at our associate hotel The Cumberland, guest are more than welcome to park their bikes there.
