Bournemouth Surf Reef
Europe’s first artificial surf reef in Boscombe put Bournemouth firmly on the UK surf map. The surf reef acts as a ramp, pushing waves upwards, doubling their size and improving their quality for surfers. As a result, the number of good surfing days is doubled. The reef also enhances water sports on offers including kite-surfing, windsurfing, wake-boarding, kayaking, SCUBA-diving, sailing and skim-boarding.
Our beach front hotel is one of the closest to the new surf reef and also close to Bournemouth town centre where the nightlife is vibrant and the shops plentiful.
